3D Modeling
I’m just getting back into 3D modeling after a hiatus of several years, this time starting to learn with Blender and likely to try other software soon once I get my bearings. Come back here for future updates.
Donut
This is a 3D modeled and rendered donut that I created in Blender while following the wonderful tutorial by Blender Guru on YouTube (the quintessential beginners project for Blender users). I created two versions, one for a static rendered image and one for the animation.
Coffee Cup
This is from another tutorial provided by Blender Guru in which I learned about using transparent materials and making realistic static liquid. I decided to take things further and add bubbles/foam to the surface of the coffee, which ended up taking multiple tries and a combination of two different methods before I was satisfied with the result. Huge props to Bad Normals for his tutorial on making realistic foam in Blender.

Søborg Chair
A 3D model of the Søborg Chair by Fredericia Furniture, completed as practice using Blender from this tutorial series by Blender Guru on YouTube.

Zanotta William Couch
Yet anther tutorial provided by Blender Guru in which I learned how to use the cloth simulator and cloth sculpting tools to emulate soft fabric materials.

Wooden Geometric Ceiling Light
My sister got this ceiling light from Mastercraft Shop on Etsy and I thought it was pretty neat, so I decided to model it. I needed a little help with the light bulb which I got from Blender Guru’s lightbulb tutorial.

Anvil
This is from another tutorial provided by Blender Guru in which I learned intermediate fundamentals with modeling, UV unwrapping, sculpting, bump maps/baking normals, and texturing.

Years ago, I started to build this favorite spacefaring vessel as a project to help teach myself modeling basics in Autodesk Maya, but I was not prepared for the daunting task and it fell by the wayside. I am currently in the process of building this vessel again in Blender. Take a sneak peak here and stay tuned for updates.
